Salt & Light Foods started as an idea to bring fresh produce to food deserts in Baltimore, MD where marginalized communities have little to no access to fresh produce. Over time, it developed into a desire to create healthy snacks and food products as a healthier alternative for people on the go.
Our mission is to introduce people to healthier eating habits and lifestyle choices that promote longevity through restorative nutrition. Currently we offer a variety of healthy snack packs filled with locally sourced fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and more. We also provide charcuterie and food bar services, catering and curated experiences.

I’ve always had a love for food and cooking. Even as a kid, unlike may others, I enjoyed eating fresh fruit and veggies, and cooking at home. My dream was always to become a chef and I am grateful to have made it this far into pursuing my dream. God gave me the idea for Salt & Light back in 2019, where it lived on paper for quite a few a years before coming to fruition.
During my journey I’ve produced a student led cooking show, worked in catering as a prep and event chef, and even spent time working as a chef for a bed ad breakfast on an organic farm. And now, I am excited for this new chapter of pursuing my dream–bringing all of my gifts and interests together into one mission–food, cooking, gardening, catering, and creativity– through Salt & Light. It’s so much more than a food product line, but there are great things in store for our future as a not just a company but a culture shifter.
